Sierra Music Therapy Clinic

We are now accepting referrals for our new neurologic music therapy clinic, Sierra Music Therapy Clinic, located at 85 Washington Street in Reno. Neurologic music therapy is focused on the neuroscience of perception and production of music and how this helps with movement, speech and language, and cognition. It is based on decades of research showing that music is hard-wired in the brain as a means of communication and connection.

Neurologic Music Therapy is for people with:

  • Stroke
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Alzheimer’s
  • Dementia
  • Autism

The Note-Ables

The Note-Ables are available to play at your events! Founded more than 17 years ago, The Note-Ables is a group of professional musicians who shatter the stereotype that people with disabilities have limited talents and abilities. In addition to being professional and crowd pleasing, the group’s activities have also increased the visibility of people with disabilities and added to the dynamic arts community in the Truckee Meadows.
