Music And Dance Groups

  • Country Dance | Mondays, 5:00-6:00 pm

    Enjoy line, square, circle and contra dancing with a live caller. All ages and abilities welcome, no prior experience required!

  • Exploring Movement | Tuesdays, 3:00-3:45 pm

    Using movement to music as a way to explore, make connections and have fun! Includes performance opportunities. For ages 16 and older.

    Exploring Music III | Tuesdays, 3:00-3:50 pm

    Singing, songwriting, playing instruments, dancing, and of course – performing! Class is geared toward teens and young adults (16+) with disabilities.

    Exploring Music I | Tuesdays, 4:00-5:00 pm

    A fun interactive adult music class with singing, playing instruments, dancing, songwriting, and performing! Class is geared toward adults with disabilities.

    Musical Connections | Tuesdays, 4:00-4:50 pm

    An opportunity for individuals 13+ to explore various musical theater techniques and processes that can support growth in social/emotional skills and can support community connection. Participants will explore songwriting, emotional expression, vocal health, movement to music, and solo/group performance opportunities.

  • Local Vocals - Community Singing Group | Wednesdays, 2:00-2:45 pm

    The Local Vocals is an opportunity for people of all ages to learn and sing music together, and is free for anyone 55 and older! No prior singing or choir experience is required. Performance opportunities are available, but optional.

    Dance I | Wednesdays, 3:00-4:00 pm

    A mix of many forms of creative movement, choreography and free dance make this a high-energy class for teens and adults with disabilities.

    Dance II | Wednesdays, 4:15-5:15 pm

    A mix of many forms of creative movement, choreography and free dance make this a high-energy class for teens and adults with disabilities.

    Kids Music Class (ages 3-6) | Wednesdays, 4:00-4:45 pm

    Through song, instrument play and movement, this group will stimulate and enhance musical, social, physical, and emotional growth and development. Caregivers and children will have the opportunity to connect with each other through music making and social connection focusing on communication, fine /gross motor development, emotional regulation, attention span, listening and creative expression.

    Youth Music Therapy Group (ages 7-12) | Wednesdays, 5:00-5:45 pm

    This group is a unique musical place where children with all abilities can join us for music making and meeting new friends. Music experiences in this group are designed to support communication, encourage social engagement, and foster creativity and imagination using instruments and songs. Children will have opportunities for personal empowerment and socialization in a fun and engaging group setting. All children with various communication methods seeking peer to peer interactions are welcome to attend.

  • Exploring Music II | Thursdays, 3:30-4:30 pm

    This fun class includes singing, songwriting, playing instruments, dancing, and of course – performing! Class is geared toward teens and young adults (16+) with disabilities.

    Electronic Music | Thursdays, 5:30-6:30 pm

    An intermediate, fun, interactive music class fostering technology and social skills through producing and DJing. Class is geared toward teens and adults of all abilities.

Individual Services

  • Individuals of all ages and abilities can work with a Board-Certified music therapist to address individualized goals through music. We also offer specialized services in neurologic music therapy.

  • Our therapists and trained instructors adapt music instruction to meet the needs and learning styles of anyone - regardless of age, musical experience, or ability level. We currently offer lessons in piano, guitar, banjo, ukulele, bass, violin, cello, voice, percussion, and drums.
