"Orchestrating Change" Movie Screening & Conducting Workshop

  • Note-Able Music Therapy Services 2590 Orovada Street Reno, NV, 89512 United States (map)

NMTS is hosting two FREE screenings of the critically acclaimed film Orchestrating Change. This documentary tells the inspiring story of the only orchestra in the world created by and for people living with mental illness.

In partnership with the Reno Chamber Orchestra, this screening will be followed by a conducting workshop led by the subject of the film, Ronald Braunstein, music director of the Me2/Orchestra. At the workshop, participants will learn conducting principles and techniques and have the opportunity to try them out with live musicians from the Reno Chamber Orchestra, including the RCO’s music director, Kelly Kuo on piano. The workshop is appropriate for all levels of aspiring conductors and those who are simply conductor curious.
